Ovation Magnum 2

This Late 70's Ovation Magnum 2 bass as used was a live back up/alternative bass during the '90s and was given to Jah by previous owner, Jaki Liebezeit, Founder member of Can. As well as the back up bass on tour this bass has been used in the studio, most notably on the "Chinese Dub" album. It comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Jah and a hand written note.

The Magnum 2 has a Mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard and features on-board active electronics along with a 3-band EQ. Cosmetically it's in very good condition overall but does display a few chips and dings around the edges of the body and one or two around the headstock edge.

It's strung with Rotosound tape-wound strings and has been set up in our workshop. The frets are have plenty of life left in them, the neck is straight and the truss rod works as intended. Nut width:41.3mm. Serial: B 3685. Weight:10 lbs 3.5 oz.

Condition Very good 7.75/10
Serial Number  B 3685
