1988 Rickenbacker 4001 V63 in Mapleglo with the original silver case and owner's manual. It's in very good condition and all original, aside from the new case.
There are a few small scuffs & dings around the edge of the body and a couple around the edge of the headstock. There's also some finish checking. A previous owner had put stickers on the bass (since removed) that have left an imprint/ shadow. The frets are in great shape with very little playwear. All hardware and electronics are in fine working order. The truss rods are fully functional, and the neck is straight, with fantastic action set up in our workshop. Rickenbacker excelled with their vintage reissue series. These 4001 V63 Basses are some of the best they ever made. The production of these basses began in the '80s and the V63 is the forerunner to the C64. It was based on the 4001S basses used by McCartney and Chris Squire and featured no binding, dot inlays, a toaster pickup at the neck, and a horseshoe at the bridge. They are excellent, well-made instruments at a fraction of the cost of the vintage originals.
