1976 Bicentennial Gibson Thunderbird IV with a natural finish in excellent condition. Serial number: 06242379. No headstock break or repair. All original and complete including the case.
This bass has through-neck construction with a reverse body shape. One-piece Mahogany centrepiece; Mahogany wings. Rosewood fretboard, laminated pickguard, 2 humbucking pickups, 34 & 3-8 inch scale length. Modelled directly from the 1963 Thunderbird. New additions in 76 were the 3 point bridge and the Red, White & Blue insignia with 76 written underneath. This is a very well looked after bass with only a few small dings. The frets are in great condition, having been dressed in our workshop. All-round superb bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of La Bella and low action. The truss rod works as it should, and the neck is straight. The pot dates read 137-7650 (50th week of 1976). Weight: 9 lbs 13 oz / 4.44 kg. Nut width: 39 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20 mm.
