1967 Fender Jazz Bass, Lake Placid Blue Refinish

1967 Fender Jazz Bass, Lake Placid Blue Refinish. The body and neck have been refinished, and I presume the headstock too, as a new decal has been applied. It's also had a refret, and a brass nut fitted. Rosewood fingerboard and a tortoise guard with no cracks or shrinkage. Supplied with a Fender-style hard case. Judging by the neck pocket, it would appear to have originally been Olympic White.

Overall, it's in very good condition. The body finish has a number of small scuffs and dings, mainly around the edges, as well as lacquer checking and buckle rash on the back. The neck is very clean with just light wear. The headstock has a few small scuffs and little dings but nothing major.

This bass is a joy to play with a superb, even sound right across the fretboard. It's been fully set up in our workshop with low action. The truss rod works correctly with plenty of room to move.  Weight: 8 lbs 14.5 oz / 4.04 kg. Serial:185071. The neck date is OCT 66A, the pots all date to late '66. Nut width: 38.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21 mm.

Condition V.Good  7.5/10
Case OHSC
Weight 8 lbs 6.5 oz / 4.24 kg
Serial Number 185071
