This guitar was purchased by the 2nd owner from Southpaw Guitars, Houston Texas USA in 1986 and comes with the sales receipt and promotional material from the shop.
The Deluxe was a '70s favourite of Pete Townsend and Scot Gorham. It features two Mini-Humbucking pickups with cream P-90 style mounting rings, a chrome Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop tailpiece, a 3-way switch with cream Rhythm/Treble ring, 'Gibson Deluxe" stamped Kluson tuners and amber capped 60's style knobs.
It plays very well with a straight neck / low action and the truss rod works correctly. The body finish has a few very light scuffs and dings, mainly to the edges but nothing major and overall extremely clean. The back of the neck is extremely clean. The headstock has a finish chip to one corner but is otherwise very clean. The frets are in good condition. Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs.
