1960 Fender Precision Bass, Sunburst

Early 1963 Fender Precision Bass in excellent condition with a Sunburst finish over an Alder body. It has a wide C profile Maple neck with a beautifully figured dark Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard which has a 7.25" radius and clay dots. It weighs 8lbs 10oz. Serial:96500. With exception of some re-touched solder on the tone pot, it's all original and complete including the case.

This is a fantastic playing and sounding instrument, it has a straight neck and original frets which are in excellent condition showing virtual no wear. There a few tiny scuffs and dings around the edges of the body but nothing serious and it has a very clean neck.

This bass has been fully set up with a fresh set of D'Addario Chrome flat-wound strings. The neck date is January 63 C, both pots date to the 52nd week of 62, It's difficult to read the body date as it is obscured by masking tape but it looks to me like it says 2/63. The pickups have Black bobbins and original winds. Nut width:44 mm. depth at 1st: 20.75mm

Condition Excellent 8.9/10
Case OHSC
