1958 Fender Precision Bass in very good condition. Sunburst finish, Gold anodized guard and a maple fingerboard. All original including the case.
This bass is absolutely fantastic. It's an amazing player with an incredible neck. The body has a few small patches of wear around the edges and some light lacquer checking but is remarkably clean for a bass of this age and the Sunburst is still very vibrant. The neck finish has worn in many places and has lacquer checking throughout. There's a little wear to the frets but nothing that affects playability, my guess is that it's been strung with flat wound strings for most. The hardware is all clean and the truss rod is fully functioning with no issues. Overall this bass is in fantastic condition.
It's been fully set up by my technician with a fresh set of D'addario Chrome flat wound strings, it has a straight neck and a great action. Serial:28831. The body date is 7/58, the neck date is 9/58. The volume pot dates to the 48th week of 57, the tone pots to the 7th week of 58. Nut width: 43.85mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.5 mm. Weight: 8lbs 13oz.
