1958 Fender Musicmaster, serial: 29145. Desert Sand finish in good condition. With the exception of the missing bridge cover it's all original and complete including the brown case.

Released in 1956 as a student model these guitars along with the Duo Sonic became the starting point for many young guitarists. It's a short scale (22.5") guitar with a C profile neck. The anodized gold pickguard which nicely compliments the Desert Sand finish has the pots and pickup mounted to it. The simple volume & tone controls allow for a no-frills approach to guitar playing. It has a maple neck and fingerboard with plastic button Kluson tuners. It's an amazing guitar to play and it sounds fantastic.

There is light lacquer checking throughout the finish and numerous small scuffs and dings as well as some arm wear on the edge of the upper bout and the initials of the nephew of the original owner. The neck and fretboard also exhibit play-wear but nothing to detract from the playability of the instrument. Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. The frets are in good condition having been dressed in our workshop and still have plenty of life left in them. All hardware and electronics are in good working order including the truss rod which works correctly.

This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings and a medium-low action. The neck has a pencil date of 8-58. The tone pot dates to the 25th week of 58, the volume pot date is covered in solder but theres no evidence of the solder being broken so i'm confident that its original to the guitar. The pickup has original winds and unbroken solder.  Weight 6lbs 3oz. Nut width: 39.4 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.2 mm. 3-month warranty included.
