1957 Fender Precision Bass in very good condition. All original including the tweed case. First generation, split coil pickup with raised A-pole pieces, 2-Tone Sunburst finish, maple fingerboard, anodized guard, slotted large tuner screws with reverse gears and a V-neck profile.
This bass is a joy to play, and what amazing tone it has! The finish has very little wear with only a few small nicks/dings on the edges of the body and back of the neck. It does have some scratches/buckle rash on the back but nothing too serious. The frets are clean and in excellent condition having been dressed by my tech. The headstock is in great shape. There is light lacquer checking to the finish throughout.
Fully set up by my technician with a set of D'Addario Chrome 50-105 flat wound strings. The action is nice and low. Both pot dates are covered in solder. The neck and body are both dated 10/57. All round fantastic bass. It's nice and light weighing only 8 lbs 8 oz, Serial: 22522. Nut width: 43 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22.75 mm. Come and try it out at my showroom in Shoreditch London.
