1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior, Cherry

1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior, faded cherry finish. Very good condition. All original except for the aged repro wraparound bridge and case. (supplied in a moulded Roadrunner case) The P-90 pickup combined with the slab mahogany body sounds big and powerful, as you’d expect, with lots of natural sustain. Supplied with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day approval period.

The cherry finish on the front of the body has faded quite a bit but the back retains most of its hue. The decal is still in good shape with only a little fade. The body has a few scuffs and dings, most of which are to be found around the edges. It also has light checking throughout. The neck has a few nicks, dings and small patches of wear but is overall in decent condition and feels comfortable in the hand. The headstock has dings and scuffs around the edges but everything remains structurally sound with no breaks, issues or repairs. The frets are in great condition with lots of life left. All plastics and hardware are in great condition. Although the neck is not quite as chunky as Gibsons from only a year earlier, it still feels quite full in the hand. Nut width: 43 mm, depth at the 1st fret: 21.5 mm, width at 12th: 53 mm, depth at 12th: 22.3.

Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball 10s and low action. Serial number: 0 6882. I could only get to one Centralab pot date which reads 134 6006. The solder on both pots is untouched. Weight: 7 lbs 1.5 oz / 3.22 kg.  Pickup DC resistance: 7.94 K.

Condition Very Good  7.75/10
