1965 Fender Vibro Champ

1965 Fender Vibro Champ Blackface in exceptionally good condition. It comes with the original footswitch. The tube chart is coded OB, dating it to Feb of 1965. Serial:A01295.  The original Schumacher transformers are coded 606-4-39 (Sept 64) and 606-4-34. (Aug 64) The pots are original and those that have visible pot dates show a September 64 manufacture. This amp is 110V and comes supplied with a brand new step-down transformer and 30 days warranty.

This little Blackface-era Fender amp delivers five watts of pure tube tone through a period correct Jensen special design speaker which has the original cone. It has a sparkling clean tone which can be pushed into lightly compressed overdrive once the volume is up to 5. It also benefits from Fender's beautiful sounding tremolo circuit. There are very few marks to the tolex and no pitting to the metal faceplate. It really is an exceptionally clean example. Recently serviced - one cap changed and a 3 prong power cord fitted. It has an RCA rectifier which may well be original to the amp. The 6V6 power tube is made Electro Harmonix. One of the pre amp 12AX7 tubes appears to be Tung Sol. I'm unsure of the make of the other 12AX7 but both are USA made.

Condition Exceptional 9.25/10
