1979 Music Man Stingray in exceptionally good condition. Sunburst finish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2-band EQ and through-body stringing. Aside from the new mute sponge, it's all original, including the hard case.
The body finish is extremely clean with just a few tiny scuffs and dings. The back of the neck is extremely clean with very few signs of wear. The headstock is very clean with just a little light wear on the top edge. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The frets have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. The electronics work perfectly, and all hardware is in excellent condition. The truss rod works correctly without issue. This is an all-around excellent bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has a great action, allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is B016016. Weight: 10 lbs / 4.54 kg. The body date is July 17th 1979, and the neck date is May 1979 (day not readable). The pots are dated to mid-79. Nut Width: 43 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20 mm.
