1971 Fender Jazz bass in very good + condition. Sunburst finish, rosewood fingerboard, Tortoiseshell guard. All original, including the case.
This is a very nice example of a vintage Fender Jazz bass. The finish has a few light scuffs and small dings, mainly around the edges. It also has a mark across the back (I imagine from a strap being left on in the case), but it is otherwise in great shape. It has a fantastic neck, which is very clean. The frets are clean and have plenty of life in them. The headstock is clean with just a little bit of scuffing along the top edge.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb, even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with D'Addario round-wound strings. Weight 8 lbs 13.5 oz / 4.01 kg. Serial: 320958. The neck date is not visible. The pots all date to the 16th week of 1971. The pickups are date-stamped 1971. Nut Width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 23 mm.
