This unplayed Gibson 1959 ES-345TD Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar offers all of the features of the 1959 ES-335 with the original improvements of split parallelogram neck inlays, mono Varitone circuit and a stereo output. Every nuance and spec of the classic model is here down to the “Mickey Mouse” cutaways, aniline dye neck filler, spruce bracing, historic lightweight materials, hot-hide glue neck joint and coloured multi-ply binding. Plek Pro fretboard optimization ensures perfect action and intonation. Electronics feature a pair of MHS humbuckers with an Alnico III pickup at the neck and Alnico II at the bridge. A matched set of 550K potentiometers and Varitone circuit gives you a wide range of tones via 6 notch filters adds to this semi-hollowbody’s authentic tone.
Gibson Memphis built the 1959 ES-345 TD semi-hollowbody electric guitar to vintage specs for an instrument that plays just like the original. The ES-345 TD’s neck and body are built using hot-hide glue which many argue sounds better than synthetic glue. Gibson Memphis also uses a vintage-accurate truss rod, truss rod washer, and anchor in the guitar’s neck. Every piece of wood used in the ES-345 is hand selected by its looks and weight.
This guitar has been set up by our technician with a fresh set of Ernie ball 11-48 strings. Nut width 43.25 mm, depth at 1st fret 22.25 mm. Weight 8lbs 4oz.
