1989 Rickenbacker 4001 V63 with a Mapleglo finish. New Gator hard case included. It's missing the pickup cover but other than that it's all original. It has a lovely slim neck and a highly figured Rosewood fingerboard. It's also nice and light.

Rickenbacker excelled with their vintage reissue series. These 4001 V63 Basses are some of the best they ever made. The production of these basses began in the '80s and the V63 is the forerunner to the C64. It was based on the 4001S basses used by McCartney and Chris Squire etc and feature no binding, dot inlays,  a toaster pickup at the neck and a horseshoe at the bridge.  They are excellent, well-made instruments at a fraction of the cost of the vintage originals.

This Bass is in good overall condition. There are a number of patches of play wear plus some scuffs/marks to the finish, mainly around the edges of the body. There is also some checking in the finish. The back of the neck and headstock are clean with very few marks. The frets are in great shape with very little play wear. All hardware and electronics are in fine working order. The truss rods are fully functioning and the neck is straight with fantastic action having been set up in our workshop with a set of round-wound strings. Serial F2 8025. Weight 8lbs 14.5oz. Nut width 42mm. Depth at 1st fret 22 mm.
