1983 Rickenbacker 4001 with a Fireglo finish in excellent condition. It's all original and complete including the case. Serial number: WC 281. (March 1983) All-round lovely bass.
What's interesting about this bass is that it has factory fitted, wavy Grover tuners. By the end of 74 this type of Grover tuner was no longer the standard tuner used on Rick 4001 basses. Presumably this bass was custom ordered this way by either a shop or a customer.
The finish has some very minor wear in a few spots, mainly around the edges of the body and the back of the neck. The original frets are in good condition. The neck is straight and the truss rods work as intended. All electronics and hardware are in good working order with no issues.
Fully set up in our workshop with a set of strings and a low playing action. The pots date to mid-81. Weight 9 lbs 11 oz. Nut width 42mm. Depth at 1st fret 24mm. Supplied with 3-months warranty.
