1983 Music Man Stingray in good condition. Natural finish with a maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2 band EQ. Supplied in a non original hard-case. It has a replacement WD custom pickguard and the mute sponge is missing, otherwise original & complete.
There are a number of small dings/scuffs in the body finish and some lacquer cracks. The back of the neck and fretboard are relatively clean with only light play wear and a a few small marks. The headstock has a few small dings and some finish wear along the front/top edge. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The original frets have minimal wear and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. This is an all-round excellent bass, the sound is warm and punchy. It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky round-wound strings and has a great action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck.
The serial number is B023405. Weight: 9 lbs 14.5 oz. There is no visible body or neck dates. The pots are a mixture of dates ranging from early 79 through to late 81. The truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. Nut Width: 43.3 mm. Depth at 1st fret 19.6 mm.
