1983 Music Man Stingray in good condition. Natural finish with a maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2 band EQ. Supplied in a non original hard-case. It has a replacement WD custom pickguard and the mute sponge is missing, otherwise original & complete.
There are a number of small dings/scuffs in the body finish and some lacquer cracks. The back of the neck and fretboard are relatively clean with only light play wear and a a few small marks. The headstock has a few small dings and some finish wear along the front/top edge. As a result of the wear to the headstock, the last two letters of the logo are missing. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The original frets have minimal wear and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. This is an all-round excellent bass, the sound is warm and punchy. It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky round-wound strings and has a great action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck.
The serial number is B023405. Weight: 9 lbs 14.5 oz. There are no visible body or neck dates. The pots are a mixture of dates ranging from early 79 through to late 81. The truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. Nut Width: 43.3 mm. Depth at 1st fret 19.6 mm.
