1983 Steinberger L2 in Black. Serial number:699. Good condition. Supplied with a shotgun hard case, leg rest and pivot plate. ( strap holder)
Iconic, headless electric bass made in New York. It features a carbon graphite composite body and neck for extreme rigidity, tuning stability, and massive sustain. The L2 was the forerunner to the XL2, and the differences are listed below.
- Faceplate attaches from the front; attachment bolts can be seen on the face.
- Original plug-in "bayonet" style leg rest.
- Silk-screened or sticker logo (most have stickers).
- Larger oval-shaped battery cover on back (directly underneath the bridge) with serial number and Steinberger address printed on the inside.
- Headpiece that accommodates both single and double ball strings.
There are minor scuffs and small dings in the finish, but overall it's in great condition. Part of the battery cover has cracked off, but the screw still holds it in place. The frets are in great condition with lots of life left. Weight: 7 lbs 11 oz/ 3.49 kg. Nut width: 37.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 24 mm.
