1977 Music Man Stingray in excellent condition. Sunburst finish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2-band EQ, epoxy-coated preamp, long pole piece pickups and through-body stringing. Aside from the new mute sponge, it's all original, including the hard case.
The body finish is clean overall with just a few small scuffs and dings, mainly around the edges. The headstock has some wear on the top edge, and the back of the neck has a couple of small dings, but overall, both are clean. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The frets have been dressed, cleaned and polished in our workshop and are in great shape with plenty of life left in them. The electronics work perfectly, and all hardware is in excellent condition. The truss rod works correctly without issue. This is an all-around excellent bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has a great action, allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is B002518. Weight: 11 lbs / 4.99 kg. The body date is Feb 22nd 1977, and the neck date is Feb 17th 1977. The pots are dated to mid-77. Nut Width: 42.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.5 mm.
