1974 Rickenbacker 4001 with an Azureglo finish in excellent condition. Serial number: NK 6694. (Nov 1974) All-round lovely bass. Supplied in a new deluxe silver Rickenbacker case.
The finish has some minor wear in a few spots, mainly around the edges of the body and headstock. There's also some light buckle rash on the back top edge of the body and a couple of the small dings on the headstock have been touched up with blue paint. It's been professionally re-fretted. Theres no visible disturbance to the board, probably because the frets are larger the the original type used. The strap buttons have been changed for the type used commonly of Fenders.
Otherwise the bass is all original. The neck is straight and the truss rods work as intended. All electronics and hardware are in good working order with no issues. Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Rotosound nickel round-wound strings and a great playing action. The pots date to the first half of '74. Weight 9 lbs 8.5 oz. Nut width 42.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 22.1 mm. Supplied with 3-months warranty.
