1974 Fender Jazz Bass with a Black finish in very good condition. Maple neck and fingerboard with pearl block inlays and White binding. Other than some touched up solder and the missing metal covers this is all original including the case.
This is an excellent bass, with a nice slim neck. I personally love these Maple neck Jazz basses. I owned one for many years in this very same finish. This bass has tons of tone and the growl is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings with loads of top-end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.
The body finish has play wear with a few larger scuffs around the edges and some lacquer checking. The neck is very clean and the binding is all intact. The frets are very clean having been dressed in our workshop and have plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight.
Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Rotosound round-wound nickel strings and a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Serial:618625. Weight: 9 lbs 10 oz. Nut Width: 38.2 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22.5 mm.
