1972 Fender Jazz Bass, Sunburst finish in good condition. Maple neck and fingerboard with Black block inlays and binding. All original with the exception of rewound pickups and touched up solder on the pots. The pickups were professionally rewound by Bare Knuckle UK. This is an excellent bass, with quite a chunky neck. I personally love these Maple neck Black block Jazz basses. I owned one for many years. This bass has tons of tone, the growl from this bass is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings withs tons of top end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.
The finish show play wear, with a few small dings here and there, with a larger chip to the finish on the back, just by the strap button. There's buckle rash on the back running along the edge of the contour and also on the front along the edge of the upper horn. The neck and headstock are very clean and the binding is all intact. The frets show light wear but the playability is unaffected and theres years of lit left in them. The truss rod works as it should and is still flush with the end the neck which is straight. There is an extra hole in the headstock where someone had previously added a 2nd string tree to hold down the E & A but this is totally unnecessary. The case shows signs of wear but holds together fine, the handle has been changed, the middle latch replaced and the metal badge is missing although the plastic underside remains and shows the outline of the Fender logo.
Fully set up by my technician with a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Weight: 9lbs 4oz. Serial: 369586. Dimensions: Nut Width: 38mm
