1972 Fender Jazz Bass, Olympic White finish in very good condition. Maple neck and fingerboard with Black block inlays and binding. All original with the exception of the solder joints. This is an excellent bass. I personally love these Maple neck Black block Jazz basses. I owned one for many years. This bass has tons of tone and the growl is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings with tons of top end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.
The finish shows play wear, with a few small dings and scuffs, mainly around the edges of the body. There's light lacquer checking to the body finish. The neck and headstock are very clean and the binding is all intact. The frets show very little wear. The truss rod works as it should and is still flush with the end of the neck which is straight.
It's been fully set up by my technician with a low action giving great playability. The neck stamp read: Aug 72 A. The volume pots date to the 22nd week of 72, the tone pot dates to the 39th week of 72 The pickups both date to 72. Serial: 374907. Weight: 9lbs 5oz. Nut Width: 37.5mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.25
