Early 1971 Fender Jazz bass in very good condition. Sunburst finish, rosewood fingerboard, Tortoiseshell guard. The neck pickup volume pot is period correct but not original to the bass. Otherwise original hardware, pots, pickups, finish and case. It's nice and light weighing only 8 lbs 8 oz.
This is a very nice example of a vintage Fender Jazz bass. The finish has a number of small dings & scuffs in the finish, mainly around the edges but is otherwise in good shape. There is also a small patch of buckle rash on the back of the body. The headstock also has a few small scuffs and dings. It has a fantastic neck with very little play wear. The frets are clean and in great shape.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck which is very slim at the nut, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up and sounds amazing. Weight 8 lbs 8 oz. Serial: 299044. The neck date is not present, which is common on Fenders from this period. The pickups are dated to 71 and have original windings. The pots all date to early 71. Nut Width: 37.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.8 mm.
