1969 Gibson ES-335 TDC, in very good + condition. Serial: 540752. Weight: 7 lbs 8 oz / 3.4 kg. This is an all-original, gorgeous example of a Gibson ES-335. It comes with the original case and includes 3-months warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
The body features a beautiful cherry red finish stain and the cream binding is in very good shape front and back. There's light play-wear to the body finish, including some small dings here and there and scuffs/scrapes along the bottom edge near the end pin, but overall it's in great condition. The back of the neck has more play wear including small dings and scuffs. The headstock has a few bumps and scrapes mainly around the top edge but nothing major. There are no breaks/cracks or repairs and everything remains structurally sound. The frets are in excellent condition having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. All hardware & electronics are in excellent working order and the metalwork is still shiny.
The instrument's features are typical for 1968-9 with chrome-plated hardware including the Tune-O-Matic bridge, trapeze tailpiece, and two Gibson humbucking pickups with patent number stickers. Gibson we soon to add the volute on the rear of the neck, this example does not.
This guitar has been fully checked over & set up in our workshop and is an all-round excellent sounding and playing guitar. The playability is excellent with low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. It has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically. Nut width: 40 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21 mm. The pots are all correct CTS 500K with untouched solder and where dates are visible are stamped 137 6833.
