1966 Gibson EB2 in very good condition. Sunburst finish, non-original case. The mute sponge has been replaced. The Sunburst finish is still very vibrant, with light lacquer checking and a few small dings, mainly around the edges. The neck and headstock also have some small scuffs and dings. The binding is fully intact and in great shape, as are the frets. The neck is straight and has no issues. The truss rod works correctly. Everything remains structurally sound.
The EB2 has a powerful Gibson EB humbucking pickup + Baritone switch. 30 1/2 inch scale. The EB2D has a Maple body with a central tone block, a Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard and 20 frets.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a set of flat-wound strings. All round excellent bass. Serial number: 436521. Weight: 8lbs 12oz / 3.97 kg. Nut width: 42.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 23 mm.
