This is a fine example of a vintage Fender Jazz bass. The finish is still vibrant and in overall great shape. There are a few dings and scuffs in the body finish and some buckle rash on the back with a couple of areas having worn through the finish. It has a fantastic neck with very little play wear and a few small dings around the edges of the headstock. The original frets are clean and in excellent condition having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up in our workshop with an easy to play medium/low action and a fresh set of D'addario round-wound strings. It weighs 8 lbs 15 oz. Serial:L68662. The neck date is MAY 65A, the pots all date to the 20th week of 65. The pickups have original windings. The sponge is stuck to the underneath of both so the dates are not visible. Nut Width: 37.7mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20 mm. It comes with 3-months warranty.
