1963 Gibson ES-330 TDC in exceptional condition. Cherry red finish, mahogany neck with a Rosewood fretboard, block position inlays and nickel hardware. The tuners are original (correct D-169400 PATENT stamp on the inside and Kluson Deluxe in one vertical line on the outer casing) but 3 of the buttons may have been changed as they are slightly cream rather than white. Otherwise all original including the case.
The ES-330 shares the body shape of the ES-335, ES-345 and ES-355 and is a lightweight, lively sounding guitar when played acoustically or plugged in. It's fitted with powerful P-90 single coil pick-ups which are nicely balanced.
This example has a few small dings and scuffs around the headstock but otherwise theres very little in the way of play wear or marks. The body is, for example, almost entirely free of dings/marks. The cherry finish remains very vibrant. The frets are in excellent condition having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. The neck is straight and the truss rod works correctly. Everything remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. All electronics work and sound great. The plastics are in great condition as is the nickel though the plating has dulled on the pickup covers.
This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of strings and low action. The pots date to early 63, the black beauty caps are present and the solder is untouched. Weight 6 lb 2.5 oz. Serial 131217. Nut width: 42 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.5 mm. 3-month warranty included.
