1953 Fender Precision bass with a refinished body and neck. Good condition overall, with a few small dings and scuffs. Repaired hairline crack running from the E-string tuner hole. (see pics) Serial:11708. Supplied in a non-original hard case. It's fairly light, weighing 9 lbs 0.5 oz / 4/1 kg. It has a soft V-profile maple neck and clean frets with plenty of life left in them. Fully set up with a set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings. The neck pencil date is 10/53. Nut width: 44 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 24.5 mm.
It has a lot of changed parts, as listed below.
Changes
Refret, new CTS pots, late '60s/early '70s Tele bass pickup, enlarged pickup rout, bridge saddles, control knobs, frets. I suspect the decal is also changed, but not 100% sure.
