1983 Music Man Stingray in exceptionally good condition. black finish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard, 2-band EQ. and through-body stringing. Aside from the new mute sponge, it's all original, including the hard case.
The body finish is extremely clean with just a couple of small dings. The back of the neck and headstock are both very clean. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The frets have been cleaned and polished in our workshop and are in great shape with plenty of life left in them. The electronics work perfectly, and all hardware is in excellent condition. The truss rod works correctly without issue. This is an all-around excellent bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has a great action, allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is B021732. Weight: 9 lbs 7.5 oz / 4.29 kg. The body date is Feb 24th 1983. There isn't a neck date. The pots are dated to early-81. Nut Width: 42.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.5 mm.
