1988 Rickenbacker 4001 V63, Mapleglo

1988 Rickenbacker 4001 V63 with a Mapleglo finish in exceptionally good condition. All original including the case.  Rickenbacker excelled with their vintage reissue series. These 4001 V63 Basses are some of the best they ever made. The production of these basses began in the '80s and the V63 is the forerunner to the C64. It was based on the 4001S basses used by McCartney and Chris Squire etc and feature no binding, dot inlays,  a toaster pickup at the neck and a horseshoe at the bridge.  They are excellent, well-made instruments at a fraction of the cost of the vintage originals.

This Bass, as already mentioned, is in exceptionally good condition with only a few small dings/scuffs to the finish. There are some very lights scuffs to the lower edge of the body and a couple of dings on the top edge of the headstock. The frets are in great shape with very little sign of play wear. All hardware and electronics are in fine working order. The truss rods are fully functioning and the neck is straight with fantastic action having been set up in our workshop. It is strung with a fresh set of D'Addario flat-wound strings. Serial K1 6238. Weight 9lbs 10oz. Nut width 42.2 mm. Depth at 1st fret 22 mm.
