1976 Rickenbacker 4001 with a White finish in very good condition. All original and 100% complete with the exception of one of the flat silver labels from one of the control knobs. The knob was replaced with a newer Rickenbacker knob, but the original is also included. Original case. Serial number: PJ 7224. (Oct 1976) All-round lovely bass.
The finish has some wear in a few spots to the front face and dings around the edges. It has also yellowed in places. The headstock also has a few chips and dings, mostly small, with just one larger ding thats chipped the paint and the wood at the very corner. The neck and fretboard are in great condition with very little wear. The frets have minor signs of wear but are in great condition overall having been cleaned and polished. They have plenty of life left in them.
Fully set up in our workshop with a set of round-wound strings and a great playing action. All electronics and hardware are in good working order with no issues. The Pickups, pots and hardware are all original. The pots date to early-76. Weight 9 lbs 6.5 oz / 4.26 kg. Nut width 41.4mm. Depth at 1st fret 22.6mm.
