1964 Fender Jazz Bass with a beautiful, Candy Apple Red custom colour finish. Very good condition. This bass is all original and complete with untouched solder and original white/cream case.
The body finish has several small scuffs, dings, and general wear, as well as a couple of larger dings, some buckle rash on the back, and some buckle rash on the back. There is also some wear on the back of the body, which is usually the result of something being left in the case and disturbing or "burning" the finish. (most likely a cable. Sometimes referred to as curly cord burn) The back of the neck is very clean, as is the headstock. The mint-green guard has minimal shrinkage and no cracks. It has a rosewood veneer fretboard with "clay" dots. Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. All hardware and electronics are in good working order. The truss rod works correctly. The frets have plenty of life left and have been recrowned in the workshop.
Fully set up with great action and a fresh set of La Bella 760 FL 43-104 flat-wound strings. It's a great player with a superb, even sound right across the fretboard. Serial number: L27673. Weight: 8 lbs 8 oz / 4.31 kg. Nut width: 38.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21 mm. The neck is stamped APR 64A. The pickups have original winds but have no visible dates, as the sponge has hardened and is stuck to the underside. The 3 pots all date to the 10th week of 64.
