1977 Music Man Stingray in excellent + condition. Sunburst finish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2-band EQ, epoxy-coated preamp and through-body stringing. Aside from a new bone nut and new mute sponge, it's all original, including the hard case.
The body finish is very clean with just a few very small scuffs and dings, mainly around the edges. The headstock has some scuffing on the top edge. The back of the neck is immaculate except for 2 very small patches of discolouration where the neck meets the headstock (probably from a stand or wall hanger). The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The frets have minimal wear and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. The electronics work perfectly, and all hardware is in excellent condition. The truss rod works correctly without issue. This is an all-around excellent bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has a great action, allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is B006099. Weight: 11 lbs / 4.99 kg. The body date is Oct 6th 1977, and the neck date is Dec 2nd 1977. The pots are dated to mid-late 77. The truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. Nut Width: 43 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21 mm.
