1977 Music Man Stingray in very good condition. Natural finish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2 band EQ, epoxy coated preamp and through-body stringing. This is an early model with the pickups having long poll pieces and the cavity having two channels to accommodate them. Aside from what appears to be new mute sponge it's all original, including the hard case. Supplied with 3-months warranty.
The body has a patch of arm wear on the upper bout and a few more patches of wear along the bottom edge. The back of the neck also has a few small marks and play wear through the finish. The headstock is relatively clean with only a few very minor scuffs. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The original frets have minimal wear and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. The electronics work perfectly and all hardware is in excellent condition. The truss rod works correctly without issue. This is an all-round excellent bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has a great action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is B003237. Weight: 10lbs 12oz. The body and neck are both stamped March 1977. The pots date to late 76. The truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. Nut Width: 43.2 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.7 mm.
