1976 Music Man Stingray in very good + condition. Sunburst finish, maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2-band EQ, epoxy-coated preamp and through-body stringing. This is a very early model with "radio knobs" and long pole piece pickups. The mute sponge is new, as is the nut, and it's been refretted; otherwise, all original, including the case.
The body finish on the front and back is very clean with just a few small scuffs and dings, as well as some lacquer checking. There's a bit more wear around the edges of the body. The headstock has light wear around the top edge. The back of the neck has light playwear in the first position and a few very small dings further up, but nothing major. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The frets have minimal wear and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. The electronics work perfectly, and all hardware is in excellent condition. The truss rod works correctly without issue. This is an all-around excellent bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with low action and is strung with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings. Superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is B002654. Weight: 10 lbs 3 oz/ 4.63 kg. The body has a date stamp of Oct 12th 1976, and the neck, Nov 4th 1976. The pots date to mid-late 76. Nut Width: 43 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21 mm.
