1959 Gibson ES-330 TD, Sunburst

1959 Gibson ES-330 TD in very good condition. Factory order number: S2791. Beautiful Sunburst finish, mahogany neck with a full 59 neck profile, rosewood fretboard , dot position inlays and nickel hardware. Partially re-fretted (frets 1-8) by my tech as they were very worn. Stew Mac supplied the fret-wire and it is the correct size and matches up nicely. It's a very clean job and inside the binding with minimal disturbance to the board. The strap button at the tailpiece is nickel, I believe that this guitar would originally have had a white plastic button, otherwise original including an alligator case. Supplied with 3-months warranty and a 7-day returns policy.

1959 saw the introduction of the ES-330, it shares the body shape of the ES-335, ES-345 and ES-355 and is a lightweight, lively sounding guitar when played acoustically or plugged in. It's fitted with powerful P-90 single coil pick-ups which are nicely balanced with strong output. Neck; 8.32 kohm / bridge; 8.25. kohm. Both; 4.14 kohm.

This example has a few small dings and scuffs around the headstock. The back of the neck has some minor wear and light lacquer checking but is very clean overall. The body finish is in great shape with only a few very small scuffs and dings as well as some very cool lacquer checking. The sunburst finish remains very vibrant. The frets are in excellent condition.

This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of strings and low action.  The bumble bee caps are present and the solder is untouched. Weight 6lbs. FON S2791Nut width: 43 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 23 mm. Width at 12th fret:52.8 mm. Depth: 25.7 mm.
