1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior with a Sunburst finish in excellent condition. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, serial # 7 6025, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard. Aside from the new Gator case, it's all original and complete, including the much-loved "bumblebee" capacitor. Supplied with 3 months warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
The Les Paul Junior was the most basic of Gibson's 1950s signature line, with the single P-90 pickup at the bridge and simple bar bridge/tailpiece, this minimalist design worked perfectly then and now. The Junior is known as one of the crunchiest and most powerful rock guitars, producing fantastic natural overdrive when paired with the right amp.
The body finish is still extremely vibrant with a nice strong band of red still present. There are a few very small dings and light scuffs around the edges of the body as well as on the back but overall it's very clean. The neck is extremely clean with very little wear. The headstock has light wear with a few scuffs around the edges. The frets are in great condition and have been dressed in our workshop. Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs including the bridge studs which remain sturdy with no forward lean.
This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings and great action. Nut width: 43 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 23.6 mm. Weight: 7 lbs 1.5 oz / 3.21 kg. Pickup DC resistance: 8.56k.
