1969 Fender Precision Bass in excellent + condition with a sunburst finish, tortoise-shell guard and a rosewood fingerboard. It's a superb bass to play with fantastic tone and nice and light weighing in at 8 lbs 8.5 oz. All original, including the case. 3-month warranty and 14-day approval period included.
The body finish has a few very light scuffs and tiny dings, mainly around the edges but overall it's extremely clean and the sunburst is still very vibrant. There is one very small area of buckle rash on the back of the body and a small ding just below it. The finish on the back of the neck is free from wear and the headstock has only light wear with just a couple of small scuffs around the top edge. The frets are in excellent condition and have plenty of life left in them.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a set of D'Addario round-wound strings. The truss works correctly and it has a straight neck and a great action. Serial:253636. The neck stamp reads May 69 B. Even though the bass was made in 1969 the pots date to the 42nd week of 1966 which is common during this period. Also common for the period was the using up of black bobbins for the pickups. Nut width: 41.4mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.3 mm. Weight: 8lbs 8oz / 3.87 kg. Pickup DC resistance 10.69K.
