1962 Fender Precision, Sunburst finish in exceptionally good condition, tortoiseshell guard with a maple neck and slab rosewood fingerboard. It's an amazing player with an incredible neck. Original brown case included. 100% original and complete with untouched solder joints. Its nice and light weighing only 8 lbs 11.5 oz. The pots are stamped 304-6152 ( 52nd week of 61) the neck pencil date is 12/61, the body date is 1/62. The pickups have black bobbins and original winds.
There is light lacquer checking in the finish along with some very minor scuffs/scratches in the body finish and some equally small marks on the back of the neck. The frets show virtually no wear and have plenty of life left in them, the headstock is almost entirely free of wear aside from a couple of very tiny dings around the edge. The pickguard has minimal shrinkage with no cracks. Overall it's extremely clean.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with what I believe are ground-wound strings and has a straight neck and a great action. Serial:70821. Nut width: 44 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21 mm. Weight: 8 lbs 11.5 oz.
