1960 Fender Precision Bass with a Fiesta Red refinish over desert sand. This is a body only refinish and is otherwise all original. It comes in a Selmer hard case. Supplied with 3-months warranty and 14-day returns policy.
The finish on this was clearly applied a long time ago and at first glance looks incredibly realistic and true to how an original finish would look. What gives it away is the neck pocket area and one of the nail holes has paint inside the hole.
There's play wear and dings to the finish, particularly around the edges where the wear has gone through to the wood in places. There's also some light buckle rash on the back. The back of the neck has wear through the finish leaving it very smooth and comfortable in the hand. The headstock has a few small scuffs/dings around the edges and small sections of the logo are missing. It has a straight neck and the original frets which are in great condition having been dressed in our workshop. There are two surface cracks, one by the neck pocket and one behind the E string tuner. Both are surface only and show no movement under pressure. There's also a small crack in the pickguard by the jack socket.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a set of flat-wound strings and a really great action. The pencil date on the end of neck is 8/60. The pots are both dated, 9th week of 1960. The pickup has original winds. Serial number:54193, weight: 8 lbs 7 oz. Nut width: 44.2 mm, depth at 1st fret 20.4 mm.
