1952 Fender Precision Bass, Blonde Refinish

1952 Fender Precision Bass, Blonde - body and neck refinish. 1966 pots, changed bridge saddles and re-fretted. Fender reissue tweed case. Original tuners, pickup, pickguard bridge plate and metal covers. Weighing 8lbs 9.5oz. Serial number:1077

The refinish has been done very well with nitrocellulose lacquer allowing the lovely ash wood grain to show through. It has a straight neck and the frets have plenty of life left in them as they are relatively new. The condition is near mint (Fender Custom Shop would probably call it a closet classic). The pickguard is fully intact with no cracks. The neck pocket retains some original finish as do the pickup cavity and control cavity. The neck is pencil dated to December 8th 1952 and has the initials TG for Tadeo Gomez. The neck pocket is dated December 9th '52 and has the name Eddie and the initials EM written in pencil (Eddie Miller or Mendoza). This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a set of flat-wound strings. Nut width:43.3mm Depth at 1st fret: 21.3mm. Supplied with 3-months warranty.

Condition Near mint refinish 9.5/10
