1989 Fender AVRI '62 Jazz Bass in excellent condition, translucent Mary Kaye Blonde finish over an ash body with gold hardware. These basses were a limited run from approx 1987-89. At the time, Fender also produced Precisions, Teles and Strats with translucent blonde finishes and gold hardware. It's missing the tug bar and the bridge cover, but otherwise all original and complete, including the tweed case.
There's minor playwear to the body, and some discolouration at the butt end from a stand, but no major dings. The neck is clean. The headstock has a few small dings along the top edge. All hardware and electronics are in good working order. The frets are in great shape with virtually no wear. The neck and body are both dated to Feb 1989. The pots are dated to the 42nd week of '88, and the pickups have original winds.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with low action and a fresh set of La Bella roundwound 40-100 nickel strings. Serial number: V034933. Weight: 9 lbs 11 oz / 4.4 kg. Nut width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.5 mm.
