1974 Fender Jazz bass, Sunburst finish in Very good condition. Maple neck and fingerboard with Black block inlays and binding. All original with the exception of the missing the metal pickup cover.
This is an excellent bass, I personally love these Maple neck Black block Jazz basses. I owned one for many years. This bass has tons of tone, the growl from this bass is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings withs tons of top end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.
The finish shows minimal play wear, with a few dings around the edges of the body. The neck and headstock are very clean. The neck binding is all intact. The frets are in great shape having been dressed by my technician and there's years of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and is still flush with the end the neck which is straight. There are a couple of extra holes in both pick guard and body either side of the neck pickup cover screw hole ( E string side) Someone has clearly tried placing the thumb rest in a couple of different positions.
Fully set up by my technician with a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Weight: 9 lbs 10oz. Serial: 506813.The pots date to mid 73, the pots 74. The neck pickup puts out 7.4 ohms. The bridge pickup 7.2 ohms.
