1971 Fender Jazz bass in good condition. Sunburst finish, rosewood fingerboard, Tortoiseshell guard. This bass is all original with the original case and untouched solder joints. ( with the exception of one screw in the back of the G string tuner)
This is a very nice example of a vintage Fender Jazz bass. The finish on the body has a number of small dings & scuffs along with general signs of play wear. The headstock also has a few small scuffs and dings as well as a cigarette burn in the usual place. It has a fantastic neck with play minimal play wear. There is a mark (probably from a guitar stand) on the inside edge where the neck meets the headstock on the E string side. The frets are clean and in great shape ( the bass came in strung with flats) Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck which is very slim at the nut, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up with a fresh set of nickel Rotosound round-wound strings and sounds amazing. Weight 9 lbs 2.5 oz. Serial: 292081. The pickups have original windings. The dates on the pickups are obscured by the rubber which has stuck hard to the underside but as no solder is broken on either the eyelets or the pots they are certainly original to the bass. The pots all date to the 23rd week of 71 as does the neck. Nut Width: 37.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.5 mm. 3-month warranty included.
