1966 Fender Jazz bass, Sunburst finish in fair/good condition. Tortoiseshell guard, Rosewood fretboard, original case. This is a transition period, dot & bound Rosewood neck, Jazz Bass. This bass is a great player with a superb even sound right across the fretboard. 

The Sunburst finish has lacquer checking as well as numerous dings, scuffs and patches of general wear, a few of which have been touched up around the edge. The back of the neck is relatively clean but does have a few small dings here and there. The headstock has numerous dings around the edges. Everything remains structurally sound and all hardware and electronics are in good working order. It has original frets which are in great shape having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop and have plenty of life left in them.

 The neck is stamped Feb 66 A. The bridge pickup has been rewound, the neck pickup has original windings and untouched solder. The volume pot dates to the 31st week of '66, the other two pots both date to the 18th week of '66.  

Fully set in our workshop with a great action and a fresh set of nickel Rotosound round-wound strings.  Serial number: 169629. Weight: 8 lbs 11.5 oz. Nut width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21 mm. It comes with a 3-month warranty.
