1976 Fender Jazzmaster with a Sunburst finish in near mint condition. All original and complete including the case. It has a beautiful rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlays. The Jazzmaster was Launched in mid 1958 as the top of the range Fender guitar, and featured Fender’s first neck with a rosewood fretboard. It's an incredible Rock’n’Roll and Surf guitar and was a firm favourite of 90s bands like Nirvana, Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine.
This is listed as near mint because it is almost entirely free of play wear. It has only a couple of very tiny scratches on the finish. The neck and headstock are immaculate. The frets are in perfect condition having been cleaned and polished in our workshop.
This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a medium-low action. The neck stamp is illegible but does show the remnants of green ink.The Serial is 705815. The volume pot is dated 17th week of 66, making this guitar the latest guitar or bass I have seen with a 66 dated pot. The solder is unmolested so i'm certain that this pot os original to the guitar (66 pots are common right through the late '60s and into the early 70s - this is the first time i've seen one in a guitar after that period) the tone pot date is covered in solder. Weight 9lbs 10oz. Nut width: 42 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22.2 mm. Depth at 12th fret 23.5 mm. 3-month warranty included.
