1988 Fender AVRI '62 Precision Bass in exceptionally good condition, translucent Mary Kaye Blonde finish over an ash body with gold hardware. These basses were a limited run from approx 1987-89. At the time, Fender also produced Jazz basses, Teles and Strats with translucent blonde finishes and gold hardware. All original and complete, including the tweed case.
The finish has very little playwear. The neck and headstock are extremely clean with just a couple of very small patches of finish missing by the neck pocket. All hardware and electronics are in good working order. The frets are in great shape with no wear. The neck and body are both dated to Feb 1989. The pots are dated to the 42nd week of '88, and the pickups have original winds.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with low action and a set of Ernie Ball flatwound strings. Serial number: V029595. Weight: 9 lbs 1 oz / 4.12 kg. Nut width: 43.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.2 mm.
