1974 Fender Jazz Bass with a Black finish in very good condition. Maple neck and fingerboard with Black block inlays and Black binding. All original including the case and metal covers, with the exception of what appears to be a rewound back pickup (due to the different coloured wind)
This is an excellent bass, with a nice slim neck. I personally love these Maple neck Black block Jazz basses. I owned one for many years in this very same finish. This bass has tons of tone and the growl is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings with tons of top end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.
The finish has play wear with a few scuffs to the body finish and some buckle rash on the back. The neck is very clean and the binding is all intact. The frets show only light wear and there's plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight. The headstock has a larger ding with a small patch of missing wood just under the G string tuner on the back.
Fully set up by my technician with a set of Rotosound Nexus strings (Black round wound) and a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Serial:502212. Weight: 9 lbs 2 oz. Nut Width: 38.25 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21 mm.
Condition | Very Good 8.25/10 |
Case | OHSC |
