1972 Fender Precision Bass, Sunburst in fair-good condition. Sunburst finish, with a tortoise guard, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Original hard case included. There are a number of scuffs and small dings, mainly around the edges of the body. The neck and headstock are relatively clean with only smalls signs of wear around the edges. The original frets are in good shape with only light wear. There is an extra hole beside each strap button and G316 has been etched onto the G string tuner head on one side. There were also screw holes under the guard beside each of the original screw holes. ( presumably from having been fitted with a different guard with slightly different hole positions - I have filled these holes with small dowels and glue to maintain the integrity of the original holes)
This bass is fully set up by my technician with a fresh set of strings. The tone is round and even across the strings. The lead wire from the pickups to the volume pot is new and the solder has been reworked. One half of the pickup has been rewound. (D&G side) The neck pocket has had a section sanded away. Serial number: 358313. Weight: 9lbs 1oz. The pots date to the 22nd week of 72, the neck is stamped June 72 B. Neck dimensions: Nut width: 41.2 mm Depth at 1st fret: 22.8 mm.
